We offer a range of nail treatments. At your appointment a trained nail technician will analyse and provide treatment suitable to your nail type.

We use a range of the best products in the nails industry, using Magpie beauty gel polishes, Magpie Beauty glitter, Sensationail, BlueSky.

To ensure the life of your nails after treatment we will assess your lifestyle and nail type. There are no hidden costs, structure gel is offered as standard as we find this helps prolong the life of the manicure. Nail art, glitter and oil treatment is offered as part of the service at no extra cost. We also offer removal of gel nails and extensions for FREE (only free when you are getting a fresh set of nails) this is because we would rather people remove nails in the correct way to avoid damage to the natural nail.

Before attending

Before attending any nail appointment please ensure natural nails are clear of all nail polish or enhancements, unless attending for the re-application of gel nails/nail extensions which will be removed during your appointment.

Please note that infills can only be carried out within 3 weeks of initial application.

There are a number of contraindications that can prevent treatment from taking place these include:

• Skin conditions such as Eczema, Dermatitis, Psoriasis etc
• Cuts/abrasions
• Skin irritations
• Bruising/swelling
• Infectious skin diseases
• Broken bones
• Ringworm
• Fungal nail infections

If you have any medical contraindications you must seek medical advice prior to booking, if there are instances where medical permission cannot be obtained, clients must give their confirmed consent in writing.

Aftercare

The removal of nail enhancements can be discussed during your appointment or contacting the technician after. Enhancements are best removed professionally. We do offer a nail removal service or we can advise you on what products you will need to safely remove your nail enhancements. Never pick or peel your nail enhancements as this will damage your natural nail.

Where possible avoid extreme heat and water for about an hour after your nail treatment.

To prolong the life of your nails wear gloves when washing up or cleaning.

Try not to file your nails if you have gel enhancements, this can break the seal of the gel to your natural nail and can lead to chipping.

If wearing a light colour spray tans and lotions can discolour the nails - make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after use.

Please note that if applying gel nails for holiday the long exposures to sun can affect the colour as the UV will keep developing the gel nails. Particular colours prone to this are pinks and corals.

Gel nails should typically last between 2/4 weeks, this can vary for each individual depending on how you look after your nails. Any problems with them please contact your technician to discuss.

We use warm wax, offered in different ranges dependant on skin sensitivity – the nourishing ingredients within our waxes are offered to give a soft and smoothing result. All our waxes are suitable for faces and sensitive areas.

Before any wax treatment we will clean the area using a Tea Tree Pre Wax Treatment. After waxing an after wax treatment is used to help soothe the area and reduce redness and make sure the area is clean.

Before your appointment

There are a number of contraindications that can prevent treatment from taking place, these include:

• Cuts/abrasions
• Scar tissue which is under 6 months old
• Bruising/swelling
• Skin conditions around the treatment area such as Eczema, Dermatitis etc
• Undergone Chemotherapy or radiotherapy (within the last 6 months)
• Sunburn
• Heat rash
• Hairy moles
• Cardiovascular conditions
• Diabetes
• Allergic to honey
• Severe varicose veins
• Haemophilia
• Contagious diseases such as scabies, impetigo, chicken pox
• Loss of skin sensation
• Hypersensitive skin

A patch test can be requested should you have any suspected allergies particulary to resins, glues, plasters, beeswax or honey. Your hair should be about ¼ inch long to achieve the best results.

Do not have a spray tan 24 hours before appointment and avoid suntanning 24 hours before your appointment.

Aftercare

• Avoid heat such as saunas, steam rooms, sun beds and swimming pools for the next 24 hours and try not to have a hot bath or shower
• Do not sunbathe for the next 2 hours
• Do not apply any perfumed or self tan products within 24 hours
• Exfoliate the skin 3 days after waxing to avoid ingrown hairs

Look healthy and feel confident with a natural looking spray tan, safely. We offer a range of sunless tanning solutions that can give you a tan all year round. You may want a tan enhancement before going on holiday, have a special occasion or just want to feel more confident our fully qualified trained spray tan technician can advise you on the best tan option for you.

We use Suntana spray tan lotion which offers a prefect, streak free tan. These tans have a unique fragrance meaning you won't get that usual biscuit scent quite often associated with spray tans. We've chosen Suntana as they offer natural looking spray tans which fade evenly. Suntana was nominated UK’s ‘best spray tan supplier’ – Beauty Guild’s awards of excellence, so we only stock the best.

• Undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy or in the last 6 months

• Recent heat treatment eg sauna, waxing, electrolysis, steam room

• 24 hours before application shower/bathe, exfoliate and remove body hair
• Do not apply anything to the skin such as moisturisers, deodorants, perfume or makeup
• Skin should be clean and dry
• Wear dark loose clothing and sandals – minimise straps as these will rub away the tan and affect the overall appearance
• Please wear dark underwear – don’t wear your best set as will get marked by the tan
• Hair should be tied back and off the face
• All jewellery removed
• Be wary of sitting on anything light in colour as the tan can transfer

Please note we will not spray tan anyone under 3 months pregnant.

Aftercare

Your tan will need to develop for 7 hours – you can leave on overnight. As the tan develops you may feel you are going darker, this is just the guide colour which will lighten when washed off.

• Do not exercise or use a sauna/steam room while your tan develops
• Have a shower or bath the next day to lightly wash off the guide tan – use a PH balanced shower gel or soap
• Do not exfoliate excessively and wait 3 days until after your tan
• Moisturise every day to help prolong your tan and to ensure an even fade
• To remove any last traces of tan after fading apply baby oil and leave on for a few hours. Wash off with warm water and exfoliate.

Fuller and longer lashes frame your face and eyes and give a more youthful appearance. They are great for adding drama for those special occasions or whether you just want a more defined look for everyday. Eyelash extensions and enhancements are great for people on the go reducing the need for mascara.

We offer a range of eyelash extensions and enhancements from party lashes, for a short-term enhancement or individual semi-permanent eyelash extensions and lash lifting for a longer term effect.

• A reaction to patch test
• Skin conditions around the treatment area such as Eczema, Dermatitus etc
• Any recent eye surgery which has been performed under 6 months
• Contact lenses (please ensure they are removed, we suggest you wear glasses)
• Any eye infection
• Dry eye
• Hay fever
• Watery eye
• Glaucoma
• Cataracts
• Undergone Chemotherapy or radiotherapy (within the last 6 months)

When attending your appointment please ensure that you are not wearing any eye makeup. If you have very light eyelashes (in colour) please let the technician know when booking your appointment – a lash tint will need to be performed as lash extensions are dark in colour.

A patch test is required for all lash extensions/enhancements if your first appointment or if it has been 6 months since your last treatment or whether your medical history has changed in this time.

Aftercare

• Do not get eyelashes wet for 48 hour after treatment, avoid washing the eye or swimming
• Avoid high temperature such as heat from ovens, saunas, steam rooms
• Do not rub the eyelashes whilst you have extensions on, rubbing can cause your natural lash to be pulled out eg when cleansing/washing the face, applying cosmetics or moisturisers
• Try not to sleep on your eyelashes, this can cause them to be squashed and pushed in different directions which can cause the extensions to fall out prematurely and can pull out your natural lash
• If you’ve had lash extensions you cannot perm or curl your eyelashes
• Do not use waterproof mascara
• Only use oil-free makeup remover, the oil can break down the glue
• Removal of lash extensions should only be performed by a trained professional. Proper removal of lash extensions will mean no damage to your natural eyelashes. We offer a removal service, check our service list.
• Eyelashes have a natural lifecycle and will naturally fall out and be replaced, meaning your lash extensions will fall out along with the natural lash. We recommend that you have infills every 2-3 weeks to keep them looking fresh and full.

Enhance your face and eyes with our High-define seven step eyebrow shaping treatment that focuses on design. This treatment is the same as HD brows.

High-define brows offer a flattering lift, perfectly symmetrical eyebrows and carefully placed arch placement - all measured and done to flatter your face.

The treatment involves a combination of techniques including: eyebrow measurements, tinting, waxing, plucking and threading.

Brow lamination is an eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. It’s the perfect treatment to help give you a uniform, fuller look and can last up to 2 months!

A patch test is required 24-48 hours prior to treatment if this is your first appointment, if it's longer than 6 months since your last appointment or your medical circumstances have changed since the last appointment.

If you have particularly sensitive skin we can also patch test for waxing - please ask when booking.

Do not use self tan 3 days before your High-define treatment.

Aftercare

Avoid using sun beds, saunas, steam rooms, makeup or any perfumed products on the treated area 24 hours after treatment.

Remember that your brows will be darker, sharper and more defined up to 24 hours after treatment - this will fade over time.

Avoid harsh makeup remover products, this can affect the length of the tint.

Hesitate the urge to pluck hairs from your eyebrows between appointments, one wrong pluck can ruin the shape of your eyebrows. Your technician will have measured your eyebrows and identified areas which are to be removed or left. If you are to grow areas or your eyebrows you will have regrowth areas, this is a means to an end to help you achieve your perfect brow shape.

We offer make-up application for those special occasions, whether its for a wedding, hen party, prom, for a night out or just because!

We use leading makeup brands such as MAC, Smashbox, NYX Cosemetics, Avon, Benefit and Charlotte Tilbury – I won’t use anything that I haven’t used on myself.

Get a make-up application for that special occasion or for your bridal party. I come to you, taking out the hassle, you can get ready at your own home or venue of your choice.

Make-up trials can be given to bridesmaids at the request or the bride – these would need to be done at the same time as the bride. Please note that if make-up application not booked a £15 per person will be charged.

To secure any bridal make-up bookings a 20% deposit of the total will be required.

I offer discounts for group bookings, please get in touch with your requirements.

We offer face, body and hair glitter application, perfect for parties, festivals and special occasions. The perfectly applied glitter can add sparkle to any look and make you stand out.

Get the ultimate festival look and go for all three. As part of the application you will receive a glitter kit to help you keep your glitter looking its best.
